2016-03-31toaster: buildinfohelper Create target list for all types of buildtoaster-elc2016Michael Wood
Create the target list cache for command line builds and toaster triggered builds. This fixes a regression where the target is not identified as an image after building as the target cache is empty for toaster triggered builds [YOCTO #9266] Signed-off-by: Michael Wood <michael.g.wood@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Elliot Smith <elliot.smith@intel.com>
2016-03-31toaster: create Build object earlier in bitbake processingElliot Smith
If a build fails because of a bitbake error occurring before the BuildStarted event fires, we do not generate a Build object for command-line builds. This means that failed command-line builds don't appear in Toaster at all. To resolve, split build creation into two steps: 1. Just before buildTargets() is invoked on the XMLRPC server: create the base Build object. Note that as soon as a Toaster-triggered build starts, targets are added to it; but this event is the earliest point when task and targets are available for command-line builds. (This requires a new TargetsAcquired event to be fired by the XMLRPC server when the buildTargets() command is called.) 2. BuildStarted event: add any layer information to either type of build (command-line or Toaster-triggered). Note that the build_name property cannot be set until BuildStarted, as it is not available until then, which could cause problems for creating Build objects earlier; however, this property is redundant, as it's never used anywhere in Toaster, so it has been removed (along with any functions which refer to it). 2016-03-31recipes-support/rng-tools: Change runlevel start from S to 2, 3, 4, 5.Aníbal Limón
When using systemd as init rng-tools is causing a circular dependency between units, [ 7.706250] systemd[1]: basic.target: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 7.706934] systemd[1]: basic.target: Found dependency on sysinit.target/start [ 7.707795] systemd[1]: basic.target: Found dependency on rng-tools.service/start [ 7.708692] systemd[1]: basic.target: Found dependency on basic.target/start [ 7.709461] systemd[1]: basic.target: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job rng-tools.service/start [ 7.710404] systemd[1]: rng-tools.service: Job rng-tools.service/start deleted to break ordering cycle starting with basic.target/start The problem is related to systemd running sysvinit scripts by default add dependency of basic.target for sysvinit script so when sysvscript is at rcS is added also as dependency of sysinit.target causing a cirular dependency in this case: basic.target -> sysinit.target -> rng-tools.service -> basic.target. 2016-03-31bitbake: build/utils: Allow python functions to execute with real exception ↵Richard Purdie
handling With the code as it stands today it not possible to execute a python function and get "normal" python exception handling behaviour. If a python function raises an exception, it forces a traceback to be printed and the exception becomes a FuncFailed exception. This adds in a parameter 'pythonexception' which allows standard python exceptions to be passed unchanged with no traceback. Ultimately we may want to change to this convention in various places but at least it means we can start to add sane functions now. 2016-03-30man: fix src/Makefile to work with parallel makeBill Randle
The Makefile for man has a rule to create two generated targets with a program run from the shell. Because the rule was run twice, with parallel make, the generated files were being overwritten at the same time they were being compiled. This patch forces the rule to be run only once. 2016-03-29bitbake: cookerdata: Improve handling of ParseErrorRichard Purdie
If local.conf contains an invalid line, e.g.: APPEND += " igor" (note the leading space) then nasty tracebacks are shown which confuse the user. Change so the parse error is simply shown without a traceback, improving the user experience. 2016-03-29gcc: Backport fixes for musl ssp configurationKhem Raj
We were trying to inject cached configure variables via EXTRA_OECONF, but that was not working due to the fact that gcc configure is called recursively via makefiles and hence these were getting lost. These backports from master fixes the problem by defining the options in configure itself dl_iterate_phdr is provided by musl as well, so lets not depend on glibc defines like inhibit_libc alone (From OE-Core rev: b3f80743cd1b9a15a8ee4d20c2a54c2f6cbcd13c) Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2016-03-29siteinfo: Fix musl 64bit targetsKhem Raj
Found that ssize_t was being wrongly computed for mips64 musl because it was using wrong cache files. alias them to glibc versions, musl doesn't _yet_ have target incompatibilities to note in siteinfo thankfully. 2016-03-29buildhistory.bbclass: create image directory when neededPatrick Ohly
buildhistory_get_imageinfo() assumed that the buildhistory directory for the image had already been created earlier. That assumption is not true for special images (like the virtual swupd images from meta-swupd) where the entire traditional do_rootfs/do_image is skipped. Creating files-in-image.txt still makes sense for such images, so support them by creating the directory also in buildhistory_get_imageinfo().
